Fire safety is a legal requirement which compels business owners and their employees to have a basic awareness of fire safety in the workplace. The HR Dept Essex Health and Safety service offers an IFE (Institute of Fire Engineers) approved online course, built up of five modules, specifically designed for employees to gain the basic skills and knowledge of fire safety in the workplace.
Current legislation, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies to all workplaces regardless of the number of employees and requires employers to provide adequate training in fire awareness for all members of their staff. The training course assists employees in identifying and reducing the risk that fire presents in the workplace.
